Around the World Blog Tour: Watercolor Rose Garden

Welcome to the Around the World Stampin' Up! Blog Hop. I'm so excited to partner with my friends all over the world to share samples from the upcoming Occasions Catalog. If you followed our Around the World Stampin' Challenges that we did last year and the year before, you know how incredibly talented these demonstrators are! You may have come over from Helen Read's blog. If not, be sure to visit all of them until you come back through Helen's to mine again. The list is at the end of this post.

You'll probably want to print a Wish List to keep track of all the new goodies we're going to show you. Hang on to it just a couple more days. Ordering for the Occasions Catalog starts on Tuesday, January 5th.

The Rose Wonder bundle was at the top of my list. It includes the Rose Wonder stamp set and the Rose Garden thinlits. For this card, I die cut from the thinlits and used it as a template to watercolor the rose on to Shimmery White cardstock.

I love the way it turned out! I added some gold splatter with the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set. And then I layered the greeting with several punches and tied in the gold foil cardstock and ribbons.

Julie, this is stunning! What a great way to use these thinlits. I love watercoloring onto the Shimmery White paper.

Thank you for sharing. I'm going to give this a try!
